About The Position

Sabre Systems has an immediate opening for a proven BD/Capture professional with extensive knowledge of DOD and Federal/Civilian acquisition. This role involves combining knowledge, love of technology, and working closely with Sabre executives to mold and shape opportunities across the federal civilian market. As a BD/Capture Leader, you will work closely with senior leadership on pipeline development and growth through expansion of our existing Sabre Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs), GSA Schedules, and other large Multiple-Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract vehicles held by Sabre Systems, LLC and our partners. Your role would be to identify, develop, manage, and execute capture strategies on specific opportunities, owning your role in meeting new business goals and objectives within the company. The ideal candidate would be excited with the prospect of utilizing their domain knowledge and professional network across industry and within the market, formulating winning strategies, technical solutions, and proposal support. The primary focus for this role will be the broader National Capital Region to include customers in Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland. This is a hybrid position. The ideal candidate must be within a commutable distance to the Sabre System’s office in PAX and be actively engaged across Sabre’s business market regions.

Requirements

  • 10 years of successful, proven experience in Business Development and/or Capture Management.
  • Successful capture experience of large opportunities (>$50M).
  • Successful record showcasing ability to develop annual pipeline with high percentage of win on designated vehicles.
  • Demonstrated experience marketing IT Solutions, Platforms, Digital Transformation, Cyber, Business Intelligence/Data Analytics, Software/Systems Engineering, and other professional service solutions for US Federal government agencies.
  • Proven history of successful capture across multiple vehicles within the last three years.
  • Proven leadership and ability to lead technical pursuits
  • Demonstrated ability in developing external and internal customer relationships.
  • Experience working with small business partners.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Effective contributor to team environment.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and/or Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification

Responsibilities

  • Ability to multi-task, handling multiple task order and opportunity pursuits simultaneously
  • Knowledge / affinity in a variety of technology areas (digital transformation, cyber, systems/software engineering, business intelligence/data analytics, automation, etc.)
  • Keen eye for identifying, qualifying, and quantifying opportunity pursuits aligned with company key and adjacent capability areas
  • Collaborate across business units to formulate pursuit strategies
  • Execute cold calls to establish effective communication channels with existing and potential customers
  • Conduct detailed market research and analysis for long range pipeline planning
  • Lead and support opportunity gate reviews
  • Identify and qualify teaming partners for opportunities
  • Negotiate non-disclosures and teaming agreements
  • Work in partnership with the proposal team to ensure competitive and winning proposal content and responses
  • Participate in proposal color reviews and final bid approvals
  • Successfully meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Serve as in a Proposal Manager capacity during times when surge is required
