About The Position

The Battery Management Systems team is seeking a battery algorithm software engineer to design and develop advanced battery and power management algorithms and software for various Apple products. The role involves working with a cross-functional team of algorithm, software, and system engineers to define software architecture and write software modules implementing innovative battery algorithms. The team develops battery management technologies, architectures, and products intended to improve battery utility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience coding in C and/or C++.

Nice To Haves

• PhD and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Understanding of battery modeling and control theory.
• Experience debugging software to tackle challenging problems.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications.
• Experience with software requirement definition and software development processes.
• Experience developing and commercializing robust battery management solutions for consumer, industrial, telecom, or automotive products.
