About The Position

The Battery Management Systems (BMS) team is seeking a battery algorithm software engineer to design and develop advanced battery and power management algorithms and software for various Apple products. The role involves working with algorithms, software, and system engineers in a cross-functional environment to define software architecture and write software modules that implement innovative battery algorithms. The team develops battery system algorithms, architectures, and products, with the goal of improving the utility of batteries.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications.
• Programming experience in Python or C++.

Nice To Haves

• PhD and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with software requirement definition and software development processes.
• Experience designing and architecting machine learning inference pipelines and underlying infrastructure.
• Experience using AI coding tools and creating agentic AI applications.
• Experience developing innovative and creative ML features in the battery or consumer electronics domain.
