About The Position

The Battery Management Systems team is seeking a battery algorithm software engineer to design and develop advanced battery and power management algorithms and software for various Apple products. The role involves working with a cross-functional team of algorithm, software, and system engineers to define software architecture and write software modules that implement innovative battery algorithms. The engineer will help develop future battery management technologies, including algorithms, architectures, and products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience coding in C and/or C++.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and/or deep learning applications.

Nice To Haves

• PhD and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Understanding of battery modeling and control theory.
• Experience debugging software to solve challenging problems.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with software requirements definition and software development processes.
• Experience developing and commercializing robust battery management solutions for consumer, industrial, telecom, or automotive products.
