About The Position

The Battery Algorithm ML Engineer will develop advanced battery and power management algorithms and software for Apple products. The role focuses on future battery management system technologies and robust battery management solutions for consumer, industrial, telecom, or automotive products. The engineer will work in a cross-functional team with algorithm, software, and system engineers to define software architecture and build software modules that implement innovative battery algorithms.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Ph.D. and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Experience with machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications.
Experience programming in Python or C++.
Experience with software requirement definition and software development processes.
Experience designing and architecting machine learning inference pipelines and underlying infrastructure.
Experience using AI coding tools and creating agentic AI applications.
Experience developing innovative and creative machine-learning features in the battery or consumer-electronics domain.

Responsibilities

Develop battery management system technologies and battery management solutions.
Design and develop advanced battery and power management algorithms and software for Apple products.
Define software architecture in collaboration with algorithm, software, and system engineers.
Write software modules to implement battery algorithms.
Develop battery systems involving algorithms, architectures, and products to improve battery utility.
