About The Position

The Battery Management Systems (BMS) team is seeking a battery algorithm software engineer to design and develop advanced battery and power management algorithms and software for Apple products. The role involves defining software architecture and writing software modules to implement innovative battery algorithms, working with cross-functional algorithms, software, and systems engineers. The team develops future BMS technologies and new battery systems to improve battery utility, including robust solutions for consumer, industrial, telecom, or automotive products.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications.
• Programming experience in Python or C++.
• PhD and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with software requirement definition and software development processes.
• Experience designing and architecting machine learning inference pipelines and underlying infrastructure.
• Experience using AI coding tools and creating agentic AI applications.
• Experience developing innovative and creative ML features in the battery or consumer electronics domain.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced battery and power management algorithms and software for Apple products.
