About The Position

The Battery Management Systems team is seeking a battery algorithm software engineer to design and develop advanced battery and power management algorithms and software for various Apple products. The role involves working with a cross-functional team of algorithm, software, and systems engineers to define software architecture and write software modules that implement innovative battery algorithms. The team develops battery management technologies, algorithms, architectures, and products.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications.
• Programming experience in Python and C++.

Nice To Haves

• PhD and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience defining software requirements and working through the software development process.
• Experience designing and architecting machine-learning inference pipelines and their underlying infrastructure.
• Experience using AI coding tools and creating agentic AI applications.
• Experience developing innovative and creative ML features in the battery or consumer electronics domain.
• Experience developing and commercializing robust battery management solutions for consumer, industrial, telecom, or automotive products.
