About The Position

Tindall Corporation is a leading precast concrete manufacturer with locations throughout the Southeastern U.S. The Batch Plant Mixer Operator operates one mixer to maximize production to BDS and ensures concrete is batched promptly with minimal downtime. Employees must follow all safety and quality rules and processes to support a safe working environment and produce high-quality products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with bed foremen and QC personnel to determine the desired concrete formula and required cubic yards.
• Call up the formula on the computer, enter the number of cubic yards, and adjust moisture content as necessary.
• Monitor the computer screen to ensure components are weighed and mixed according to the formula.
• Inject steam into the mixture as required to batch concrete at the requested temperature.
• Direct Equipment Operators to the appropriate mixer.
• Discharge concrete into delivery equipment.
• Mix concrete manually when small amounts are needed.
• Clean the mixer and work area daily, including chipping and greasing as necessary.
• Substitute for Equipment Operators to deliver concrete as necessary.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Supervisor.
• Follow safety and quality rules and processes.
