About The Position

County Materials Family of Companies is seeking a Batch Plant Operator for County Prestress in Roberts, Wisconsin. The role is responsible for keeping the machine clean and well maintained, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting as needed, and coordinating with the Plant Supervisor to ensure concrete batches align with the production schedule. The position requires a general understanding of manufacturing processes, good math skills, and attention to detail. The work takes place indoors and outdoors, in varied weather including extreme hot or cold temperatures. The operator may work near moving machinery and equipment, including potential electrical hazards, in confined spaces, and in noisy conditions. Physical activities include sitting; carrying or lifting 10–40 pounds; standing, walking, and climbing; squatting, crouching, kneeling, and bending; and pushing, pulling, and reaching above shoulder level. Occasional heavy lifting may be required, and the employee must be able to stand for the entire shift.

Requirements

Ability and willingness to learn and be trained.
Safety-minded approach to performing tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
General understanding of manufacturing processes.
Good math skills and attention to detail.
Mechanically inclined.
Ability to stand for the entire shift.
Occasional heavy lifting may be required.

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate a forklift or other mobile equipment (preferred, not required).
Experience in the construction and/or building materials industry (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities
