About The Position

Batch Maker I mixes raw chemical materials to create products. The role stages and manually charges raw materials into mixing containers, follows batch instructions, monitors mixing equipment and instruments, and adjusts batches under Quality Control guidance until approved. Batch makers follow the manufacturing schedule, communicate potential improvements or concerns to the Supervisor, maintain a clean and safe work area, promptly report spills and hazards, and comply with personal protective equipment standards.

Requirements

Basic math skills.
Ability to operate high-speed dispersers and other handling equipment.
Ability to read and comprehend English.
Ability to lift 50–60 pounds.
Ability to read digital scales.

Responsibilities

Stage and manually charge necessary raw materials into mixing containers.
Follow batch work instructions to manufacture quality products.
Monitor and control mixing equipment and other instruments to produce batches according to work instructions.
Adjust batches under Quality Control guidance until they are approved.
Follow the manufacturing schedule and work with the Supervisor regarding potential improvements or concerns.
Clean the work area to company standards.
Keep the work area safe, clean, and free of recognizable hazards.
Immediately communicate spills and other hazards to the floor Supervisor or Safety.
Comply with all personal protective equipment standards.
