About The Position

Under the general direction of the Facility Maintenance Manager and reporting to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, the Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for the maintenance of heliport facilities and equipment, receiving and distribution of aircraft fuel while ensuring all duties and operations are performed in a safe and efficient manner. The Facility Maintenance Worker shall assist the supervisor in various duties and is accountable to the Facility Maintenance Manager for ensuring tasks and functions are successfully accomplished in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and standards. This role involves ensuring facility grounds/buildings are well maintained, vehicles/equipment are in safe working condition, and performing inspections and service of Company buildings, equipment, and vehicles. Duties may include maintenance of aviation ground support equipment, aircraft fueling operations, general facility maintenance, equipment repairs, housing upkeep, operating machinery, utility vehicles and trucks, and basic janitorial tasks. The role also requires maintaining compliance with Company-required training and documentation and ensuring base consumable products are properly distributed throughout the facilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced multi-facility environment, with a focus on providing the best possible service to a multifaceted group of employees.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and systems.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and provide clear, accurate and simple directions to contractors and external partners.
  • Effective time management with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Must work well in high-pressure, fast-paced settings and excels in collaborative team environments.
  • On-the job training to include learning fueling procedures, safety protocols and equipment handling under supervision.
  • Company required annual training (i.e.. IT, ITAR, Fuel Handling etc.)
  • Equipment operational training (i.e.. fuel truck, forklift, gator, golf cart, mowers, tractors, passenger tram, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • May be required to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), if assigned to the fuel team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure facility grounds/buildings are well maintained and all vehicles/equipment are in safe working condition.
  • Perform inspections and service of Company buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Maintain compliance with Company-required training and documentation.
  • Ensure base consumable products are properly distributed throughout the facilities.
  • Perform routine inspections of buildings and systems to identify maintenance needs.
  • Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Handle general upkeep, such as painting, carpentry, and minor structural fixes.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Ensure safety compliance by following building codes and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with equipment setup, furniture assembly, and office moves.
  • Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and repair materials.
  • Document maintenance activities and report issues to supervisors.
  • Replenish aircraft wash bottles.
  • Receive bulk fuel deliveries to replenish base fuel tanks.
  • Fuel aircraft with the correct type and quantity of fuel according to flight requirements.
  • Inspect fueling equipment (trucks, hoses, nozzles) for proper function and cleanliness.
  • Conduct pre-fueling checks and follow strict safety protocols to prevent spills or contamination.
  • Monitor fuel quality and perform basic maintenance on fueling systems.
  • Coordinate with flight crews and ground staff to ensure timely and accurate fueling.
  • Maintain detailed records of fuel transactions, inventory, and equipment usage.
  • Respond to fuel spills or emergencies following established procedures.
  • Assist with defueling when necessary and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Work in all weather conditions, often on tight schedules and under physical demands.
  • Understand and provide visible support of Destination Zero.
  • Practice job duties with Safety at the core of all tasks.
  • A job is not complete unless it is done safely.
  • Stand-Up, Speak-Out, and Take-Action – Do the right thing when no one is looking, report safety concerns, near misses and incidents to management, use the Stop Work authority to immediately stop unsafe acts or work practices.
