BAS - Controls Design Engineer
About The Position
This position is for a BAS Design Engineer located in Chicago, IL, with an innovative engineering and integration company. The role involves creating, designing, and managing Building Automation Systems (BAS) and their architecture. The engineer will also be responsible for developing Sequences of Operations, conducting site visits for job walks, and leading the development of automation data and designs for submittals. The position requires ensuring timely and efficient delivery of controls designs and supporting controls programmers and project managers. A willingness to learn specific BAS programming is also desired.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Design Engineer or Controls Engineer
- Experience using MS Visio or AutoCAD
- Knowledge and Understanding of Tridium Niagara is highly preferred

Responsibilities
- Create, design, and manage BAS systems and architecture using MS Visio or AutoCAD
- Develop Sequence of Operations for each project
- Visit customer sites to perform job walks
- Lead and develop detailed automation data and designs and prepare them for submittals
- Ensure controls designs for the project are delivered on time and efficiently
- Help and support controls programmers and project managers
- Willingness to learn how to program in specific BAS lines
