About The Position
The Bartender at The Thirsty Dragon is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service in the resort’s lively lobby bar. The role combines craft beverage preparation with engaging guest interaction to create a welcoming social atmosphere for resort guests and visitors. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic setting, has strong beverage knowledge, and enjoys creating memorable moments through hospitality and personality. Dellshire Resort is a themed, medieval-inspired destination in Wisconsin Dells, described as a pre-opening property scheduled to open in Spring 2026. The position offers an opportunity to join the team during the resort’s pre-opening period and contribute to its guest experience and service culture.
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience is required.
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation and beverage presentation.
- Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service under state law.
- Responsible Beverage Service certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of employment.
- Strong guest engagement, sales, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and positive team attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Hotel or upscale bar experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and service standards.
- Provide engaging, attentive, and personalized service to bar guests and lobby patrons.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer, and provide recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar, glassware, and service areas.
- Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with laws and company policies.
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and assist with bar setup and breakdown.
- Collaborate with servers and other team members to ensure seamless service flow.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including card handling and inventory counts.
- Uphold Dellshire Resort service standards and brand culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
