About The Position

The Bartender prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. The role includes setting up and stocking the bar, preparing garnishes and perishables, taking and processing drink orders, mixing and presenting drinks according to standard recipes, handling guest payments, and maintaining a clean, organized, and attractive bar area. The Bartender must follow applicable liquor regulations, check guest identification, and respond appropriately to guest inebriation. The position is with Levy, a member of Compass Group USA.

Responsibilities

Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations, including rules regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests.
Set up assigned bars and requisition and stock beverages, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain stock and prepare, cure, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to preserve product quality.
Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
Take and/or process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and prudent portion control.
Check guests at the bar for proper identification.
Recognize and act upon guest inebriation as trained, and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly completed.
Secure and store beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash drops, and secure the bank.
Perform general cleaning tasks and keep the work area clean and organized in accordance with health and safety standards.
Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive bar display.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.
