We are looking for team members who are ready to be empowered to go above and beyond… The Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and responsible manner, while maintaining a clean and organized bar area and delivering an exceptional guest experience consistent with Lone Star Court’s hospitality standards.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Working knowledge of classic and craft cocktail recipes and proper pouring and measuring techniques
  • Current TABC certification and Food Handler’s certification
  • Sitting: Rare
  • Standing/Walking: Frequent to constant throughout the shift, often on hard surfaces
  • Lifting/Carrying: Up to 50 lbs, including kegs, liquor cases, beer cases, and ice
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and repetitive hand motion while mixing and pouring drinks
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older (21+ where required by law)

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, or bar setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
  • Maintain accurate par levels and restock bar inventory
  • Operate the POS system to enter orders and process payments accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware, garnishes, and equipment
  • Set up and break down the bar area for each shift
  • Greet guests warmly and promptly
  • Make beverage recommendations
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene professionally when necessary
  • Resolve guest concerns or escalate to a manager as needed
  • Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely, accurate service
  • Assist in training new bartenders and barbacks on drink recipes and bar procedures
  • Report low inventory, equipment issues, or maintenance needs to the F&B Manager
  • Communicate nightly sales and any incidents at the end of each shift
  • Maintain current TABC certification
  • Maintain current food handlers certification
  • Follow all responsible alcohol service laws and hotel policies
  • Adhere to health and sanitation standards for food and beverage handling
  • Be in compliance with hotel trainings and attend required meetings
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
  • Display courteous behavior with guests and team members
  • Report any unsafe conditions immediately
  • Ensure hotel equipment is proper working condition
  • Attend required meetings
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
