About The Position
Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Bartender for The DeSoto Savannah. The role supports the company’s service culture by providing hospitable, respectful, and authentic service while prioritizing guests’ needs. The position is tipped eligible. Specific compensation and benefit details will be discussed during the interview process. The bartender prepares the bar for service, maintains cleanliness and sanitation, verifies guests are of legal drinking age, prepares drinks according to standards and guest preferences, processes payments, and helps ensure guests are engaged and satisfied. The bartender also monitors guests for alcohol overconsumption and secures beverage and food supplies, cash drops, and the bank at closing.
Requirements
- Minimum high school education.
- Minimum of three years in a bartending role.
- Thorough knowledge of alcohol-serving practices and standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
- Ability to exceed guest expectations.
- Detail-oriented.
- Team player.

Responsibilities
- Set up the bar with appropriate levels of liquor, juices, crushes, additives, soda, and other supplies.
- Keep the bar, glasses, and cutlery clean and sanitized.
- Ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcohol.
- Prepare drink orders according to bar standards and guest preferences.
- Present bills and take payment.
- Engage guests and ensure they are satisfied.
- Monitor guests for overconsumption of alcohol and take necessary steps.
- Lock up and store beverage, food, and other equipment items; deposit cash drops and secure the bank.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
