About The Position

The Bartender prepares the bar for regular service and special events, maintains it during service while serving guests, and handles restocking and cleanup. The role involves responsibly preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and providing service to guests at Woodman's Sports & Convention Center in Janesville, Wisconsin. The position is part-time and non-exempt, and reports to the Food & Beverage Manager.

Requirements

• Communicate with patrons in a positive, friendly manner.
• Work individually or with others in a fast-paced work environment.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass an alcohol serving course within 60 days after hire.
• Be available on weekends and nights, as well as some weekdays.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service experience with the general public is preferred.
• Prior bartending and food experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
• Operate a cash register and balance a cash drawer.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Keep bar and lounge areas clean and well presented.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
