About The Position

The Food & Beverage Team Member provides efficient food service procedures across food areas and assists with daily preparations and event execution at Woodman's Sports & Convention Center. The role includes customer service, cash-register operation and drawer management, food preparation and service, cleaning, dishwashing, temperature recording, and handling food and supplies. Team members must follow safety and health-code standards and promptly alert management to specified incidents and cash-drawer mistakes or adjustments.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Prior experience operating a cash register and balancing a cash drawer.
• Ability to communicate positively and in a friendly manner with patrons.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to enter information on computers.
• Must comply with safety and health-code standards.
• Good personal hygiene.

Nice To Haves

• Current Food Handlers Card preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• One or more years of experience in a food service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers as needed and provide outstanding customer service.
• Operate an electronic cash register and credit card machine.
• Perform basic mathematical computations, balance the cash drawer, and manage daily income.
• Communicate with the public in a tactful, polite, and friendly manner.
• Clean concession areas and tables; assist in preparing and serving food items; and fill condiment containers.
• Pick up in and around concession areas.
• Scrape and rinse dishes, load and operate the dishwasher, and wash dishes, carts, pots, pans, and equipment.
• Take and record food temperatures to ensure proper temperature controls during food transportation.
• Assist with unloading, lifting, and carrying food and supplies from trucks and storage areas, and place them in designated areas.
• Immediately alert management to suspicious-acting persons, intoxicated individuals, adults with no children, and other listed incidents.
• Immediately alert management regarding cash-drawer mistakes or adjustments.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
