About The Position

Our Bartenders take pride in their food, wine and spirit knowledge. They build relationships with their guests and are often asked for by name. They display natural showmanship, have great communication skills and an eye for detail. A Bartender receives beverage orders and makes beverages in a timely and efficient manner maintaining all O&B standards. They also communicate beverage descriptions and modifications with team members to ensure guests receive their requested beverage.

Requirements

• Valid SmartServe Certified
• Proven experience as a bartender for at least 6 months
• Wine, beer and cocktail knowledge is required.
• Passion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer service
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift and move beer kegs, liquor and wine boxes
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice To Haves

• Enrolled or completed a Hospitality, Food & Beverage and/or Special Events Program is an asset
• WSET preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest warmly and with enthusiasm.
• Offer a helping hand to all guests whenever needed.
• Share menu knowledge to make recommendations.
• Share knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beer.
• Maintain guest tabs, order food, and pre-set guests before food arrives.
• Handle special requests or celebrations.
• Take food preferences and guest allergies seriously.
• Respectfully communicate with all other staff and managers to ensure a smooth service.
• Move around the restaurant with focused urgency.
• Check and maintain beer keg and liquor levels.
• Take inventory and assist manager with inventory ordering.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
