About The Position

Watermark BR is seeking a part-time Bartender for The Gregory. Reporting to the Outlet Supervisor and/or Outlet Manager, the Bartender sets up the bar and mixes drinks for guests and servers. The role is responsible for maintaining bar service and cleanliness, providing quality service, supporting guest satisfaction, and controlling liquor inventory. This is a tipped position.

The employer describes Watermark BR as a historic hotel in downtown Baton Rouge and part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and/or relevant hotel or related-field experience. Fine-dining experience is helpful.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
• Follow applicable state liquor laws and prescribed procedures for responsible liquor service.

Responsibilities

• Set up the bar area.
• Mix drinks for guests and servers.
• Maintain service and cleanliness of the bar area.
• Provide quality service and support guest satisfaction.
• Control liquor inventory.
• Follow all state liquor laws.
• Assist in maintaining beverage costs.
• Follow procedures for serving liquor responsibly, take care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests, and report concerns to management when necessary.
• Complete beverage requisitions as needed to maintain par levels using the bottle-for-bottle method.
• Stock and clean glassware.
• Check that soda tanks are full and properly secured to the bar.
• Prepare all garnishes.
