About The Position

The Bartender orchestrates service operations, setup, and breakdown for remote bar events. The role includes delivering and recovering beverage items, wares, and linens at drop-bar locations and events, and managing credit card transactions using a touchscreen. The bartender helps create a positive atmosphere and deliver a high level of guest satisfaction at the café and during catering functions. This is a seasonal position for Johnsonville Night Lights, with event dates from November 27, 2026, through January 3, 2027. Compensation is $18.00 per hour plus tips.

Requirements

Must be able to work in temperature extremes and noisy environments.
Must be able to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for up to eight hours.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Must have manual hand and finger dexterity to use kitchen equipment adeptly.
Must be able to listen attentively and facilitate communication.
Must be willing and available to work extended hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Must possess well-rounded problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

Create a positive atmosphere for guests and team members.
Set up remote bars, including glassware, barware, goods, and products.
Follow standard operating procedures to enhance service, improve efficiency and team dynamics, and ensure guest satisfaction.
Comply with established policies and procedures.
Provide friendly service to guests and team members.
Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.
Understand and receive training in POS systems.
Work with temporary staff for events when needed.
Be punctual and reliable in supervision, reporting, and organizing.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and set the tone for the department.
Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction at the café and during catering functions.
Maintain uniform standards and hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices.
Deliver and recover beverage items, wares, and linens from drop-bar locations and events.
Manage credit card transactions using a touchscreen.
