About The Position

The Bar Apprentice provides excellent service to guests who approach the bar, keeps the bar area clean and stocked, and assists the Bartender with various duties. The role is with Paris Las Vegas, serving guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The apprentice may be required to appear on television or be filmed while performing day-to-day duties and must interact professionally with high-profile guests and celebrities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of prior Bartender or Bar Apprentice experience.
At least 1 year of experience in a money-handling position.
Knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
Effective professional communication in English, both verbal and written.
Neat and professional appearance.
Ability to interact with customers, the public, and co-workers.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to accurately count money and provide change.
Schedule flexibility, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, and repeatedly lift at least 15–20 pounds.
Ability to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.

Responsibilities

Appear on television or be filmed while performing day-to-day job functions when required.
Interact with high-profile guests and celebrities while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Greet, welcome, acknowledge, and converse with guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
Provide accurate information about venues, menus, and pricing as a brand advocate.
Clean the bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, and other bar appliances.
Prepare and pour drinks for customers and cocktail servers upon request, provided they have a Union Pour Card.
Process cash transactions accurately, make necessary change, and present customers with a bar receipt.
Convert cash to coin for customers playing slot machines in the bar area.
Follow the Cash Handling Policy and do not work out of another person’s cash drawer.
Assist the Bartender with various duties and keep the bar area stocked.
