About The Position

Responsible for the general maintenance and cleaning of the receiving barns and paddock area. This includes thoroughly cleaning shed rows and stalls daily before horses arrive, raking shed rows and stalls, and ensuring the receiving barn looks presentable. The role also involves performing various maintenance tasks such as hanging gates, changing light bulbs, and other general upkeep of the receiving barn.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to walk, stand, lift, shovel, rake, reach, bend, and twist throughout shift.
• Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and cleaning of receiving barns and paddock area.
• Clean shed rows and stalls thoroughly on a daily basis, prior to horses shipping in.
• Rake shed rows and stalls.
• Make receiving barn look presentable.
• Hang gates, screw eyes, change light bulbs and other receiving barn maintenance.
