Cart Barn Attendant
About The Position
Under the direction of the Golf Professional and other Pro Shop staff, the Cart Barn Attendant will be responsible for attending to the golf cart fleet and the driving range. This includes staging carts, bringing them from the cart barn in the morning, cleaning, fueling, and checking them after each use, and returning them at the end of the day to ensure carts are always available for player use. The role also involves ensuring the practice range is open and ready, receiving and responding to golfer complaints, operating a motor vehicle, and enforcing established course rules regarding out-of-bound areas, cart regulations, proper clothing, and designated practice sites. The attendant will also work closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare for and conduct golf tournaments, requiring knowledge of the tournament schedule.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes random testing.
- Must submit to and pass a level 2 background screening
Nice To Haves
- Prior customer service experience preferred
- Prior experience working at a golf course with knowledge of the rules of golf preferred
- Experience working in a hotel, clubhouse, or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Company standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort.
- Comply at all times with resort standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Responsible for staging carts which includes bringing carts from the cart barn in the morning, cleaning, fueling and checking carts after each use and returning carts to cart barn at the end of the day.
- Ensures that carts are available for player use at all times.
- Ensures that practice range is open and ready for players.
- Receives and responds to complaints from golfers.
- Operates a motor vehicle.
- Enforces established rules of course among golfers such as out of bound areas, cart regulations, wearing of proper clothing and practicing at designated sites.
- Works closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare for and conduct golf tournaments.
- Knowledge of tournament schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
