About The Position

Hotel Indigo Gatlinburg Downtown is hiring a friendly, energetic, and dependable Barista for Bear Trail Café. The role supports hotel guests and café visitors by preparing quality coffee beverages and fresh food items, providing excellent customer service, and helping create a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, takes initiative, and pays attention to the details that contribute to memorable hospitality.

Requirements

Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently during busy periods.
Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Ability to operate a POS system and handle cash and credit card transactions.
Willingness to learn beverage recipes and preparation standards.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform typical café duties.
Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Previous barista, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages, espresso drinks, teas, and other café offerings.
Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.
Take guest orders and accurately process payments using the POS system.
Prepare and serve breakfast items, pastries, and grab-and-go selections.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked café.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to support smooth daily operations.
Address guest questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
