About The Position
Hawthorne Valley Farm Store is seeking part-time baristas to join our team at our store in Ghent, NY. This role requires comfort working alone or with coworkers, and members of the public on a daily basis, as well as a positive, respectful presence that reflects Hawthorne Valley’s values. Successful candidates are motivated self-starters who take initiative, work well as part of a team, and are able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. This position also reinforces Hawthorne Valley’s commitments to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and cost efficiency as part of our public commitment to being a Net Positive business.
Requirements
- Positive, self-motivated problem solver.
- Enjoys hands-on work, teamwork, and coffee.

Responsibilities
- Opening shift: setting the day up for success.
- Closing shift: break down and leaving the coffee trailer in good condition for the next day.
- Working alone or with coworkers, and members of the public on a daily basis.
- Maintaining a positive, respectful presence that reflects Hawthorne Valley’s values.
- Taking initiative and working well as part of a team.
- Managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
