BARISTA (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring full-time and part-time Baristas at Method Lebonheur in Memphis, Tennessee. The Barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items, following recipes, production standards, and HACCP food-handling guidelines. The role involves accurate point-of-sale order entry and payment processing, maintaining clean and orderly equipment and service areas, and serving customers promptly and courteously. Baristas explain menu items, support customers with purchasing decisions, and ensure food and displays are presented attractively and meet quality standards. Previous barista experience is required. Open availability is preferred; days and hours may vary.

Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
- Enter orders accurately into a POS device and accept cash and charge payments.
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining a clean service area.
- Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, and follow HACCP standards.
- Maintain the sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
- Prepare food using approved recipes and prescribed production standards.
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
- Thoroughly clean equipment and the workstation before leaving the area for other assignments.
- Greet customers courteously and interact with them to ensure satisfaction.
- Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently and prevent delays in serving lines.
- Understand daily menu items and explain them accurately to customers.
- Use selling techniques and communication to assist customers in making purchasing decisions.
- Merchandise display foods attractively and serve food neatly according to standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
