About The Position

Blank Street is seeking Baristas for its founding Los Angeles team. Baristas help shape the customer experience through welcoming hospitality, carefully prepared coffee and matcha, and attention to detail. They work on a close-knit team, serve a focused menu, and contribute to the company’s growth and evolving standards. The role includes training and opportunities to grow as Blank Street expands.

Requirements

At least 1 year of customer service experience; hospitality or coffee experience is preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Able to lift more than 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
Availability that meets the needs of the cafes.
Part-time schedule: 15–25 hours per week across 3 days, including 2 peak days.
Full-time schedule: 30–40 hours per week across 4–5 days, including 2 peak days.
Peak days are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Responsibilities

Provide consistent, welcoming, and engaging hospitality, with the goal of turning customers into regulars.
Work as an integral part of the team using company equipment, coffee, and matcha.
Maintain a clean and organized environment in accordance with local Department of Health and Blank Street standards.
Partner with Operations and Marketing teams on events and promotions to introduce the brand to new customers.
Continue training and adapting as the company evolves, helping raise standards and improve processes.
Learn and carry out company procedures for cash handling, inventory, waste tracking, and opening and closing.
