Starbucks Barista, Quaker Bridge Mall - Part Time
About The Position
The Barista sells and prepares Starbucks coffee beverages according to Starbucks standards, providing caring hospitality and exceptional customer service through product knowledge. The role includes work across coffee, cold beverage, espresso, and pastry stations; preparing products to Starbucks recipes while meeting service-speed standards; and maintaining the work area, equipment, product presentation, and personal appearance according to company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards. This is a part-time position at the Quaker Bridge Mall. Part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week, with weekend shifts required. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of prolonged standing and walking, occasional reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping, frequent computer and technology use, and frequent lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate current working knowledge of drip coffee, cold beverage, espresso bar, and pastry stations.
- Maintain the work area and equipment according to company and Health Department standards.
- Follow Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Educate customers about products, offer samples, and serve food and beverages.
- Carry out station-specific duties and responsibilities.
- Open and/or close the area using the appropriate checklist and verify completion with the Manager on Duty before leaving.
- Maintain PAR stock levels and product presentation standards.
- Prepare and present products according to Starbucks recipes while meeting speed-of-service standards.
- Follow Starbucks merchandising and signing standards.
- Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress according to company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards.
- Perform other duties as needed.
