Seasonal Starbucks Barista, Bridgewater Commons
About The Position
The Barista sells and prepares Starbucks coffee beverages according to Starbucks standards, providing caring hospitality and exceptional customer service through product knowledge. The role involves working across coffee, cold beverage, espresso, and pastry stations; preparing and presenting products to Starbucks recipes and service standards; maintaining equipment, work areas, stock, and product displays; and contributing to an inclusive, respectful environment for colleagues, customers, and communities. The position is seasonal at Bridgewater Commons. Schedules include weekend shifts, and hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. The role may require day, evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

- 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate current working knowledge of drip coffee, cold beverage, espresso bar, and pastry stations.
- Follow company standards and maintain the work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
- Follow Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Educate, sample, and serve customers food and beverage products.
- Follow station-specific duties and responsibilities.
- Open and/or close the area using the appropriate checklist and verify completion with the Manager on Duty before leaving.
- Maintain PAR stock levels and product presentation standards.
- Prepare and present products according to Starbucks recipes while meeting speed-of-service standards.
- Follow Starbucks merchandising and signing standards.
- Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress according to company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Foster acceptance and respect and strengthen relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.
