About The Position

Fairmont Olympic Hotel is hiring a part-time Barista for 4th Avenue Espresso Bar. The role focuses on preparing coffee and espresso drinks, providing welcoming and attentive customer service, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked service area. The Barista explains menu offerings, processes orders and payments, and responds to guest concerns by bringing them to a supervisor. Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA, be at least 18 years old, and hold a valid Washington Food Worker Card. The position requires standing throughout shifts with intermittent walking, and a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers courteously, ensure their satisfaction, and address concerns to supervisors.
• Prepare espresso orders according to established recipes and measurements while accommodating customer preferences.
• Enter customer orders accurately into the POS device and process cash or credit-card payments.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the service area and restock condiments, beverages, and supplies as needed.
• Understand daily menu offerings and communicate them effectively to customers.
