About The Position
Philz is seeking a Barista to help build culture and community by delivering warm, authentic, kind, positive, and passionate customer experiences. The role involves staying active throughout the day while preparing drinks and food orders, operating the register, and cleaning and stocking. Baristas work with a communicative, supportive, and respectful team and are expected to embody Philz’s core values: Obsess Over Customers & Team, In Pursuit of Better, and Be Kind & Keep it Real. No prior barista experience is required. Candidates should have a passion for people and a willingness to learn; Philz will provide training. The workplace is described as inclusive, fun, creative, and vibrant, with flexibility in scheduling and room for employees to express themselves.
Requirements
- Passion for people.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to operate a variety of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Visual acuity to make general observations regarding safety and accuracy of work.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 3 hours.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently and lift 3 pounds to shoulder height repetitively.
- Ability to grasp, finger, and reach.
- Ability to express or exchange information by spoken word.
