About The Position

Levy is hiring a seasonal Barista at Bear Mountain. The role prepares and serves ice cream, hot and cold beverages—including Starbucks coffee and tea—and prepared foods such as cookies, pastries, and muffins. The Barista helps guests understand the drinks menu, makes recommendations, takes orders, and may up-sell special items. Compensation starts at $19 per hour and includes tips through a mandatory tip split. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. Weekend and holiday work is required, and the position may involve various shifts.

Requirements

Must be 21 years old or older.
One year of experience as a barista or waiter/waitress.
Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail.
Guest service skills.
Adaptability and flexibility to work various shifts.
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Ability to keep the venue organized, stocked, and clean.

Responsibilities

Check guests’ identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age.
Greet, direct, and respond to guest questions and needs in a timely manner.
Serve beverages and prepared foods, such as cookies, pastries, and muffins.
Assess guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendations based on knowledge of the venue’s menu.
Follow recipe details, including guest preferences for coffee blend, dairy, and sugar ratios.
Keep the venue clean and organized according to company standards and ensure it is show-ready.
Understand venue pricing.
Assist with regular inventory counts.
Restock and replenish venue inventory and supplies as needed.
Handle and balance cash.
Check that brewing equipment operates properly and promptly report maintenance needs.
Comply with county and company food and beverage regulations.
Complete other duties assigned by leadership.
