About The Position

The Barista II is responsible for processing sales transactions, bussing tables, cleaning, sweeping and mopping tables and surrounding areas, and retrieving warehouse orders as needed. The role also assists the Beverage Supervisor as needed. The incumbent helps create a welcoming guest experience at Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, provides information about services and facilities, manages guest waiting times, and handles cash securely and accurately. Dining-room cleanliness and reliable completion of assigned work are also key parts of the position.

Requirements

At least two months of on-the-job training, as the typical means of acquiring the required knowledge and abilities.
Obtain and maintain all required licenses and certifications under applicable Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
Successfully pass a background check.
Successfully pass drug screening.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Excellent customer-service skills.
Basic mathematical skills.
Present an excited, enthusiastic, outgoing personality and maintain a professional appearance.
Be flexible to work varying shifts and schedules as needed.
Communicate effectively with employees at all levels and with guests.
Restock needed materials and retrieve dropped items.
Use a cash register.
Distinguish currency denominations and make correct change.
Read ticket totals, total credit vouchers, and log checks.
Use equipment including a cash-register system, credit-card machines, and a calculator.

Responsibilities

Create an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati for gaming entertainment, build and retain guest relations, and mentor team members in providing superior guest service.
Provide guests with information about Hard Rock services and facilities.
Quote accurate waiting times and assist waiting guests according to Hard Rock service standards.
Pick up, count down, and return the cash bank from miscellaneous count.
Maintain an accurate cash balance and handle money securely according to established standards.
Maintain dining-room cleanliness, including bussing tables and sweeping floors; clean, sweep, and mop surrounding tables and areas.
Retrieve warehouse orders as needed and assist the Beverage Supervisor as needed.
Attend and participate in meetings and complete assigned follow-up.
Perform work regularly and predictably.
Perform other duties as assigned.
