About The Position

This is a part-time Barista Cashier position. The role involves greeting guests, taking orders, preparing drinks, and handling financial transactions accurately. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of menu items, barista skills, and the ability to operate a POS system. Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment is crucial, as is adhering to all company policies and procedures. This position requires excellent customer service skills, teamwork, and a commitment to upholding company standards.

Requirements

Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to understand the concept of cash handling, making change and counting it back to customers.
Requires communicating by telephone.
Requires regular, predictable attendance.
Ability to communicate with Team members and guests.
Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.
Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, bending, twisting, reaching, & lifting.

Nice To Haves

Knowledgeable barista who can make a variety of drinks in a fast pace environment.
Knows how to operate the Micros system in order to properly ring up and close out checks.

Responsibilities

Greet every guest with a smile and positive attitude.
Take orders from guests and prepare orders when applicable.
Handle cash, credit, and comp procedures correctly and complete paperwork.
Utilize proper procedures and documentation for transactions.
Ensure bank is counted and balanced with cage.
Complete cash turn-in sheets and distribute appropriately.
Possess complete knowledge of all procedures related to the job.
Ensure all guests are treated in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
Know menu items and prices.
Make a variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment.
Operate the Micros system to properly ring up and close out checks.
Uphold standards by setting examples with appearance and work ethic.
Work to ensure a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
Maintain constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, performing all job duties in the safest possible manner, and immediately notifying the supervisor and completing an accident report if a personal accident does occur.
Perform other duties specified or assigned.
Comply with all departmental rules, side work assignments, and departmental procedures.
