About The Position

Gunstock is hiring Barbacks for the winter season. The Barback primarily assists the Bartender and supports bar operations by keeping bars clean and properly stocked so shifts and events run smoothly and beverage revenues are maximized. Barbacks support bartenders by handling customer and server requests, filling basic orders, and informing bartenders of more significant requests. They monitor assigned work areas and may assist with inventory counts, bussing the bar area, and washing glassware. They are responsible for keeping bars supplied with appropriate drinkware and other supplies. Barbacks must uphold food-handling and sanitation standards and follow local and state guidelines for responsible alcoholic beverage service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to count and accurately make change involving large sums of money.
• Ability to stand and maintain fast-paced mobility for the entire shift.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Technology aptitude for working with a POS and digital register.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders with bar operations.
• Handle customer and fellow-server requests, fill basic orders, and communicate more significant requests to bartenders.
• Monitor assigned work areas.
• Keep bars clean and continuously stocked with appropriate drinkware and supplies.
• Assist with inventory counts when needed.
• Bus the bar area and wash glassware when needed.
• Uphold food-handling and sanitation standards and responsible alcohol-service guidelines.
