About The Position

The Barback sets up and breaks down the bar area and its supplies, keeping the bar fully stocked before and throughout service. The role also assists with running food and bussing tables. The Barback reports to the Restaurant Manager. This is a seasonal full-time position at Limelight Ketchum. Applications are accepted until November 8, 2026.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working in a restaurant.
Basic knowledge of wine, food, and cooking methods.
Familiarity with hotel food and beverage standards and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with team members and customers.
Ability to collaborate with others to achieve team goals.
Attention to detail.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks.
Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner.
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk, or be on one's feet for extended periods.
Ability to work in wet, hot, and humid conditions for extended periods and walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
Ability to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, individually or with assistance.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages to guests according to standards.
Assist with setting up and breaking down service items within the bar.
Stock and restock service items such as china, glassware, and silverware.
Clear tables and maintain cleanliness of the bar areas.
Replenish bar snacks on tables.
Learn and describe menu items to guests when necessary.
Know the wines offered by the glass and have working knowledge of the wine cellar to locate wines when needed.
Prepare specialty hot beverages.
Follow Idaho liquor laws and do not serve intoxicated guests or minors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
