About The Position

The Barback maintains bar inventory and supplies, supports beverage service, and keeps bar areas clean. The role transports beverages from walk-in coolers, prepares stock requisitions, maintains ice, glassware, garnishes, and fresh fruit, and handles guest and staff beverage orders. It also includes preparing drinks according to standard recipes and processing transactions using cash registers.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
Must be able to regularly lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the same or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport cases of beer, bottled water, liquor, and other beverages from walk-in coolers to bars to maintain stock levels.
Prepare written requisitions for stock.
Maintain supplies of ice, glassware, and drink garnishes, and rotate fresh fruit.
Clean and maintain all bar areas.
Restock beer kegs in walk-in coolers.
Clean reach-in coolers and rotate bottled beer.
Empty trash bins in the bar area and transport trash to the proper refuse bin.
Receive and fulfill beverage orders from guests, cocktail servers, and bartenders.
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard beverage recipes.
Operate cash registers and accurately complete transactions according to standardized procedures.
