About The Position

The Bar Porter is responsible for cleaning and servicing an assigned bar area according to management’s cleanliness standards, helping ensure a clean, comfortable, safe, and attractive environment for Guests. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, cleaning mats and bar equipment, and performing detailed cleaning of bar areas. Assigned areas must be scrubbed, cleaned, and steamed in accordance with Health Department code. The position requires working indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to noise, dust, second-hand smoke, unusual temperatures, cleaning products, chemicals, and solvents. Job duties require frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping, as well as communicating with Guests, Team Members, and Management. Management may revise the job or assign other tasks as circumstances change.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in written and verbal form.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors and tolerate environmental factors including noise, dust, and second-hand smoke.
• Ability to work with cleaning products, chemicals, and solvents using company-provided safety equipment.
• Normal corrective vision range, ability to see color, and ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment, including mopping, cleaning supplies, and safety equipment.
• Ability to perform tasks from a non-sitting position, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Practice, support, and promote the Company Service Standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean environment at all times.
• Clean mats and bar equipment as directed.
• Perform detailed cleaning of bar areas.
• Scrub, clean, and steam assigned areas in accordance with Health Department code.
• Maintain and care for assigned areas while in contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
