About The Position
Cigars International is seeking a Bar Manager for its Orlando, Florida location. This on-site, full-time role leads a bar team and focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, growing the business, and maintaining customer service, quality, and safety standards. The manager recruits, trains, and schedules employees; manages inventory and budgets; coordinates promotional events; maintains licenses; and develops strategies to improve profitability and customer satisfaction. The role calls for strong leadership, creativity, diligence, organizational skills, and a commitment to the hospitality industry.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of prior experience in bar management or hospitality.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
- Availability to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Understanding of business management and accounting principles.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, and move items.
- Ability to move around the store and maneuver merchandise when necessary.
- Ability to walk and stand and move around the store to assist customers.
- Ability to identify and read reports.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and train staff to deliver outstanding service to patrons.
- Create and manage employee schedules, resolve conflicts, and ensure appropriate staffing during peak hours.
- Enforce and maintain quality and safety controls.
- Collaborate with the CI events team to plan and execute promotional events.
- Mediate and defuse tense situations to prevent safety or legal issues.
- Foster accountability to company standard operating procedures.
- Analyze data to develop strategic action plans.
- Develop innovative and unique menu features.
- Manage inventory, maintain licenses, budget, and develop strategies to enhance profitability and customer satisfaction.
