About The Position

The Shop Manager drives the shop’s success by meeting labor and sales targets set by the Regional Shop Manager and Regional Operator. The manager leads the crew by example, provides training, and ensures the shop follows building, health, quality assurance, and Dutch culture standards while remaining compliant with applicable requirements. The role also supports employees in identifying and pursuing their individual goals. The Shop Manager oversees shop employees and operations, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, corrective action, and terminations. They ensure appropriate staffing, prepare and post schedules, maintain readiness to serve customers, and uphold business practices and performance targets. The role includes developing crew members, communicating company initiatives and changes, participating in leadership and shop meetings, and coordinating with regional leadership to identify and address issues. Managers are expected to demonstrate the leadership expectations for Broista, Shift Lead, Shop Lead, and Shop Manager roles. This position requires availability for at least 37 hours per week on a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Compensation is $25.98 per hour. Qualifying candidates may be eligible for relocation compensation when accepting an offer that requires a move.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have Dutch Bros Shop Lead experience.
Must have had no disciplinary action in the past 90 days; disciplinary action is defined as a coaching conversation resulting in formal documentation with signatures.
Must have the desire to become an Operator.
Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler Permit or Certification as required by state or local regulations.
Must complete, pass, and maintain mandatory certificates, training, and knowledge tests required under Dutch Bros standards and applicable company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
Must pass a standard background check and, if applicable, an MVR check.
Must have a valid driver’s license; the position requires driving when necessary.
Must be available to work a minimum of 37 hours per week on a flexible, changing schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Must demonstrate Broista, Shift Lead, Shop Lead, and Shop Manager leadership expectations.

Responsibilities

Drive shop performance by meeting labor and sales targets established by regional leadership.
Oversee shop employees, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, corrective action, and terminations.
Ensure the shop is prepared to serve customers each day and meets quality assurance standards.
Maintain business practices and targets, including labor, cost of goods, and customer experience scores.
Ensure appropriate staffing and create and post shop schedules.
Lead, inspire, and develop crew members, and model the expectations of positions under the manager’s supervision.
Attend or host shop leadership meetings and monthly shop meetings as determined by leadership.
Communicate upcoming specials, promotions, standard changes, and company initiatives to the crew.
Communicate with the Regional Shop Manager and/or Regional Operator and help identify and address issues, including maintenance needs.
Follow company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
