About The Position

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing beverage and food service to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. This role ensures guest satisfaction while maintaining proper bar setup, sanitation, and compliance with all safety and liquor regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior bartending experience required.
  • Knowledge of beverage order processing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and drink recipes.
  • Strong knowledge of liquor laws and responsible service practices.
  • Basic math and computer skills required for POS operation, cash handling, and inventory documentation.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; multilingual skills a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and guest service skills with the ability to remain professional under pressure.
  • Must be neat, clean, and well-groomed in accordance with uniform standards.
  • Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).

  • Banquet bartending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up the bar daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, mixers, garnishes, condiments, glassware, paper products, straws, and stirrers.
  • Maintain quality of all perishable items by properly cutting, storing, and rotating fruit, juices, and garnishes.
  • Greet guests in a courteous manner, take and document beverage orders, and prepare drinks according to standard recipes with proper portion control.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to input orders, create checks, and ensure accurate recordkeeping for all beverages served.
  • Handle guest payments, make change, verify charges, and complete cash drops and voucher documentation to balance all transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Follow “Teamwork” and “Clean as You Go” practices.
  • Read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including start times and beverage requirements.
  • After events, remove inventory and equipment, return glassware, and store all items properly.
  • Report to the Banquet Captain regarding challenges, guest feedback, or additional requests.
  • Attend departmental meetings and complete required ABC training.
  • Respond promptly to directions from the Banquet Captain and work cooperatively with banquet staff.
  • Adhere to all state, federal, and company liquor laws and policies, including responsible service practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned (e.g., assisting with disorderly guests, supporting banquet setup, special guest requests).
