Banquets Server On Call
About The Position
Serves meals to patrons for banquet and catering functions insuring guest satisfaction by performing. Prepares function rooms for banquets, sets tables, and places settings. Serves drinks and garnishes dishes. Observes diners to respond to requests and determine when meals are completed. Suggests desserts, beverages, and after-dinner drinks. Portions food items and brews coffee. Clears and resets tables after each course. Adheres to Trump International Beach Resort Standards and all Safety and Sanitation Standards. May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations and perform duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be 18 years of age to serve liquor in the State of Florida.
- Frequently is required to stand; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear
- Regularly is required to walk and stand and reach with hands and arms
- Frequently to climb or balance; and taste and smell
- Occasionally is required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to serve from a full tray
- Occasionally lift and/or up to 25 pounds
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers

Responsibilities
- Prepare function room for banquet function; set tables and place settings
- Serve drink of choice to guests
- Garnish and decorate dishes prior to serving
- Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
- Suggest desserts, beverages and after dinner drinks
- Ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies and desserts, brew coffee and perform other services as needed
- Clear and reset tables at conclusion of each course
- Adhere to Trump International Beach Resort Standards
- Adhere to all Safety and Sanitation Standards
- May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
