About The Position

The Banquet Server provides prompt, courteous service to guests at events, attends to their needs, and helps ensure each dining experience is exceptional and encourages repeat business. The role involves serving food and drinks, answering questions about food, wine, menus, and buffets, accommodating reasonable special requests, and preparing event rooms by setting tablecloths, dishes, and silverware. The position requires frequent standing and flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous banquet experience; hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to contribute to a collaborative and diverse team dynamic.
• Passion for customer service.
• Food Handler’s permit.
• Liquor permit.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and to walk, bend or twist, climb stairs, and carry or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to accommodate varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous banquet experience in a hotel environment is preferred.
