Banquet Server - On Call
About The Position
Join the team at Delta Hotel by Marriott Utica as a Banquet Server - On Call, where you will play a key role in delivering excellent service during events and special occasions. This position offers flexible, on-call work opportunities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, perfect for those who enjoy engaging with guests and working as part of a dedicated hospitality team. Compensation is a tipped wage $10.70 per hour, minimum of $16.00 per hour - gratuity is paid out to all f&b servers at 12% of the total customer f&b spend so it is often over $25 per hour including gratuities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in banquet or event service is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on an on-call basis, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry heavy trays or equipment as needed.
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by anticipating needs and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Assist with breakdown and clean up after events.
- Follow all health and safety standards during event service.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and event staff to ensure smooth operation.
