About The Position

The Part Time Banquet Server works at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh, a 248-room boutique hotel housed in the historic James H. Reed building. The role provides guest service and supports banquet events by setting up rooms and tables, serving food and drinks, and answering questions about menus or buffets. The server takes direction and support from the Banquet Captain, Lead Server, or Banquet Manager. Open availability is needed for weekday shifts, and weekend work is required; the position also requires flexibility to work evenings and holidays.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food and beverage, hospitality, restaurants, banquets, or hotels is required.
• Strong knowledge of food and wine.
• Ability to get along with staff and guests.
• Passion for creating personable guest experiences.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler Certificate, if applicable.
• Open availability for all weekday shifts; weekends are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and accommodate reasonable special requests from guests.
• Bus and set tables, including providing condiments as needed.
• Prepare event rooms by setting tablecloths, dishes, and silverware as needed.
• Serve food and drinks to guests during events as required.
• Answer questions about buffets or menus.
• Work independently based on details and support provided by the Banquet Captain, Lead Server, or Banquet Manager.
• Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
