About The Position

The Banquet Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and overall success of banquet events by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and readiness of banquet spaces. This position is responsible for setting up and breaking down banquet rooms, including arranging furniture, linens, and equipment according to event specifications. The Banquet Porter supports the banquet team by promptly clearing tables, removing trash, and replenishing supplies to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests. Attention to detail and efficiency are essential to meet tight event schedules and uphold the venue’s high standards of presentation. Ultimately, the Banquet Porter contributes to creating a positive guest experience by ensuring banquet areas are impeccably maintained before, during, and after events.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation standards.
• Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in banquet, hospitality, or event support roles is great, but not required; we will train.
• Familiarity with safety and health regulations related to food service environments is a plus.
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and tools.
• Friendly, Customer service experience to assist guests when needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms by arranging tables, chairs, linens, and equipment as per event requirements.
• Assist in the timely breakdown and cleaning of banquet spaces following events.
• Clear and reset tables during events to maintain cleanliness and order.
• Remove trash and dispose of waste in accordance with venue policies and health regulations.
• Replenish supplies such as napkins, condiments, and glassware to support banquet service staff.
• Collaborate with banquet servers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure seamless event execution.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues observed in banquet areas to management promptly.
