About The Position

The Banquet Setup Porter is responsible for preparing, setting up, and tearing down banquet areas and meeting spaces. This includes moving furniture and stage platforms, lifting heavy objects like chairs, tables, and dance floor sections, and pushing/pulling carts. The role also involves interacting with guests and maintaining the cleanliness of work areas and equipment according to Health Department standards and fire codes.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English, both in written and oral form.
• Ability to work consistently with tables and chairs.
• Ability to communicate with others and within a team environment.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and stressful environment with prolonged walking/standing.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time.
• Ability to push/pull up to 400 lbs. at a time.
• Ability to handle heavy machinery such as pallet jacks, tuggers, fork lifts, etc.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and be available to be on-call /standby for shift availability.
• Must have a valid Clark County Health card.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a banquet set up porter preferred, but not required.
