About The Position

The Banquet Manager leads the daily execution of banquet functions at Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, delivering memorable guest experiences through attentive hospitality. The role plans, organizes, and executes a range of events, including breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and galas. It oversees room setup and breakdown, coordinates event details across hotel teams, and supervises and develops team members while maintaining regulatory standards for health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness.

Responsibilities

• Bring an upbeat, friendly attitude to guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make each guest’s experience special.
• Plan, organize, and execute banquet events, including breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and galas.
• Oversee function-room setup, ensuring linens, silverware, glassware, and chinaware meet event specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate event specifications, procedures, and updates to teams in Food and Beverage, Event Services, Property Operations, Audio Visual, and Housekeeping.
• Ensure function rooms are properly broken down and equipment is stored correctly for subsequent events.
• Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive, productive work environment.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.
