About The Position

The Banquet Manager at Hyatt Regency Boston Cambridge manages and coordinates banquet events in a fast-paced, high-end hotel environment, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. The role assists with hiring, training, and scheduling banquet staff, and conducting monthly meetings. It demonstrates proper techniques and etiquette for different styles of service. The manager supervises function-room setup, including placement of linens, silver, china, and glassware according to event specifications, and visually inspects rooms and equipment for cleanliness, inventory, and proper setup. The role works closely with culinary, sales, and operations departments to support successful events from start to finish.

Requirements

Previous supervisory or management experience and skills.
Ability to lead and manage a team.
Computer skills required.
Strong business communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Two years of banquet management experience preferred.
Previous hotel food and beverage experience preferred.
